Mark Wayne Kirkman, age 56 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at his home. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Marvin Kirkman and Eloise Flowers Hambrick. He was a former armored car officer, a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a tank commander, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Louisville Artisans Guild, and the Louisville Clay Club. In addiition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Kirkman.

Survivors Include:
His Wife- Linda Knapp Kirkman of Louisville, KY
One Son- Damon Troy Bartley and his wife Melissa of Kingsport, TN
Two Daughters- Stacy Kirkman and Lindsey Kirkman both of Louisville, KY
Two Grandchildren- Ava Bartley and Emma Bartley both of Kingsport, TN
One Brother- Gene Perkins and his wife Becky of Louisville, KY
Four Sisters- Wilma Chamberland and Gina Semmier both of Indiana, Karen Kirkman Vincent and her husband Carl all of Glasgow, KY, and Marilyn Kirkman and her husband Al of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
11 nieces, 5 nephews, 7 great nieces, and 5 great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral Service:
Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, KY with burial in the Modoc Cemetery
Visitation is from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Friday, October 19, 2012 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
