“SR” Carter age 92 of Louisville, KY formerly of Burkesville, KY passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY. Born in Burkesville he was a retired forklift operator for B.F. Goodrich, and Baptist by faith.

Survivors include his loving wife,  Maxine Norris Carter

Two daughters Carolyn Carter Lynch (Robert) and Shelia Carter

One brother Stanley Carter

One sister Grace Percy

7 Grandchildren: Dana Taylor Paul, Shannon Lacks, Shay Lacks, Cassidy Chain, Timothy Carter, Tonya Lynch and Tracy Lynch

11 great-grandchildren

Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY.

Graveside service will be Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Central Time at Burkesville Cemetery, Burkesville, KY
