Roy Ooten, age 88 of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital Emergency Room. Roy was born on November 02, 1923 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Silas "Cy" and Sarah Jane Ooten. He was a retired carpenter and was a volunteer at T. J. Samson Community Hospital for eight years. He preceded his wife Esther Wright Ooten in death who passed away later the same day. He and his wife Esther were joined in love for 69 years on this earth and in heaven forever.

Survivors Include:
Two Daughters- Brenda Green and her husband Bryant of Glasgow, Kentucky and Shirley Terry of Linwood, Kentucky
6 Grandchildren- Pam (Jeff) Medley, Richard (Leslie) Green, Dianna (Ken) Hutcherson, Kelly (Darrell) Shake, Tonika Meredith, Tyra Bentley
9 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild
and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Joint Funeral Services for Mr. and Mrs. Ooten will be held on Monday, October 01, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY with burial in the Modoc Cemetery.
Family requests visitation from 11 A.M. until 9 P.M. on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
Pallbearers: Joshua Green, Coty Lynn, Jordan Medley, Wayne Likens, Jerry Ooten, Freddie Anderson
Honorary Pallbearers: Bryant Green, Randall Vincent, Donald Cash

We are so sorry to hear about Roy and Ester. They was such great people to know and love.Our brother Everett Smith loved them so much and we all always felt so close to them.They will be missed by so many people that their life's touched.At least they want be seperated and the other one to grieve.

We are sorry to hear of your enormous loss. The few times I had met them I remembered they were very kind, giving, and loving people. They always looked like they cared about everyone and always a kind word and ever-present smile. I am sure they will be greatly missed. We will be praying for your family during this hard transition and loss.
