I am so sorry for the loss of Aunt Betty!  I had written to her at her previous address in Maryland and didn't hear back.  I will always remember her!  She used to have this saying whenever the door would open by itself "come on in."  She was my mother's favorite Aunt Bet and I will always remember the story my mom told me about her first pair of heels courtesy of Aunt Bet, and my mom was NEVER allowed to call her Aunt Bet when they were up "on the road" shopping. I will love her always and miss her greatly.  I wish I knew she was in Kentucky.
Love,
Karen

I am so sorry to have missed this! Aunt Betty was a wonderful woman and I will miss her very much!  I remember Gigi and Duchess and staying with her and Uncle Danny a couple of times and will carry this memory forever!  My mother, Phyllis, was very close to her Aunt Bet and told me that she was responsible for her getting her first pair of heels.  I remember one time we were sitting in the dining room at my house and the wind blew the door open and Aunt Betty nonchalantly, said, "come on in!"  She was fun and loving and when I lost my grandmother, Margaret, seeing Aunt Betty was like seeing MomMom.  I wrote to her in 2014, and tried to call in 2013, as I saw she still lived at Old North Point Rd., but didn't hear back!  I hope to hear from Jackie Gilbert, (we are cousins) and family, as I am sorry to lose contact with all of you.  Jackie and my mother were probably the best polka dancers!  Love, Karen
