Sorry to hear of Gladys' passing. She was a life long friend of my mother's.
My mother was Bessie Baker Bowen who was married to my dad who was
John Taylor Bowen. Both of them were born and raised in Burkesville, Ky.
They are both now deceased. Gladys and her husband came to visit us one
time when we lived in Childress, Tx in the early 50's seems like. She was
working the Ball Glass Manufacturing plant that made all sizes of fruit jars.
My mom lived with her uncle Jim Art Thomas in Burkesville from age 6 years
since she was an orphan....Please let me know if this is the same Gladys
