Roy Clifton Norris, age 70 of Marrowbone, KY passed away on Thursday, March 03, 2016 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born on September 27, 1945 in Barren County, KY to the late Charlie B. and Jewell Bean Norris. He was a former trooper with the Kentucky State Police retiring in 1988 after 21 years of service. He also was the former owner of Norris Mobile Home Transporting, and was a life long farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Norris, and two brothers, Floyd Norris and Harry Norris.
Survivors Include:
Two Daughters- Sandy McKinney and her husband Roger of Breeding, KY, and Sherry Spoon of Columbia, KY
One Brother- Carl Norris and his wife Myra of Burkesville, KY
Two Sisters- Linda Norris and her husband Troy and Teresa Garner all of Burkesville, KY
Four Grandchildren- Cara Gibson and her husband Brian, Casey McKinney, Katie Spoon, and Jake Spoon
One Step Grandchild- Courtney Loy
Two Great Grandchildren- Addison Gibson and Mollie Gibson
Three Step Great Grandchildren- Bryson Loy, Braxton McKinney, and Zach Gibson
and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral Service:
Sunday, March 06, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main ST. Burkesville, KY with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery with honors presented by the Kentucky State Police Honor Guard. Family requests visitation on Saturday, March 05, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
