Delphia Coe, was born in Blacks Ferry, Kentucky, on May 17, 1930, to Mr. and Mrs. Tommie and Beulah Holman. Both preceding her in death. She shared her youth with her siblings, Lucille Anders, Mary Figueroa, Eugene Dallas Holman, and Mertie McGinnis all preceding her in death. In April of 1948, she married her longtime friend and love, Joe Robert Coe, who after 72 years of marriage preceded her in death in 2010. Delphia and Joe had the privilege of bringing into the world 7 children of whom they adored. Three of whom preceded her in death Paul Coe, Rex Coe, and Joe Robert Coe, Jr.

Delphia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Delphia especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a spirited personality and always made people laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. She worked as a machine operator at Bodine Electric Company, displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems. Delphia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, cooking, and watching western movies. Delphia had the uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way. She had a quiet strength. Delphia accepted Christ as her savior early in her youth and remained a faithful Christian until her death.

After a long lived and prosperous life, she passed away peacefully on October 1, 2020, at the golden age of 90.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children Lennell and Laura Coe, Marilyn Coe, Kim and Kelvin Johnson, and Margaree Coe; 29 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the Coe Ridge Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
