Alice Wells Murphy age 65 of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Burkesville, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Alice was born on May 15, 1948 in Cumberland County, KY to Irene Crawford Wells and the late Carmon Wells.  She was a retired medical secretary for Riley Hospital and a member of Biltmore Church of Christ.  In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother Charles Crawford and one sister, Gayle Shanehsaz. Survivors Include: Her Husband- Morris Murphy of Indianapolis, IN Her Mother- Irene Wells of Franklin, Indiana One Son- Ed Morris Murphy, Jr. and his wife Julie of Indianapolis, IN One Daughter- Teresa Murphy Moffet and her husband Nathaniel of Knoxville, TN One Brother- William Wells of Shelbyville, IN Four Grandchildren- Daniel Murphy, Elizabeth Murphy, Gabriel Moffett, Chloe Moffett. Funeral Service: Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Bill Evans officiating.
