Charles Rose age 67 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1944 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Alexander and Opal Traylor Rose. He was a retired farmer and truck driver for Ashland Oil, Inc. Charles also worked for Chevron, Belknap, Rhom and Haas, and Liquid Transport. He was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Cecil Ray, and Alexander Rose, three sisters, Ruby Fletcher, Mildred Scott, and Maggie Harvey.

Survivors Include: His wife of 50 years: Dane Rose of Burkesville, KY One Son- Charles "Chuck" Rose of Burkesville, KY Three Daughters- Teresa Gayle Rose and Susan Rose both of Shepherdsville, KY and Lori Spears and her husband Robert of Burkesville, KY One Brother- Rondal Rose of Louisville, KY Two Sisters- Anna Myers of Jeffersonville, IN and Evelyn Flowers of Shepherdsville, KY 4 Grandchildren- Leanna Rose Valla, Kurtis Austin, Rylea Beth, and Sean-Eric Spears and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends Funeral Service: Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church, Hwy 61 North, Burkesville, Kentucky with burial in the Scott Family Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 until 9 P.M. Wednesday, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville and Thursday, from 10 A.M. until service time at 1 P.M. at the church
