Dorothy "Dot" McCool age 78 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Thursday, September 03, 2026 at Cumberland County Hospital. She was born on April 13, 1948 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Charlie Blankenship and Pearlie Hagan Blankenship. Dot was a member of Willow Shade Church of Christ and a retired employee of Red Kap Industries where she had dedicated 32 years. Dot loved gardening and landscaping and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bernal David McCool and two sisters Eva Vibbert and Joyce Harper.

Survivors Include: Two Sons- David Anthony McCool of Glasgow, KY and Charlie Vinson McCool and his wife Melinda of Bowling Green, KY Three Grandchildren- Jackson, Elijah, and Liam McCool One Brother- Arlie Ralph Blankenship of Dubre, KY and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives friends

Funeral Service: Sunday, September 06, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Saturday, September 05, 2026 from 4 until 8 P.M. and on Sunday from 10 A.M. until time for the service at 1 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
