Dorothy Young Smith age 90 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Cumberland County Hospital. Dorothy was born on May 27, 1926 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Willie Paul and Agnes Garrett Young.  She was a member of Highland Chapel United Methodist and had attended Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Smith, one daughter, Rachel Smith, one grandchild, Christy Bagby, one brother, Clayton Young, and one sister, Hazel Prewitt. Survivors Include: One Son- Russell D. Smith of Elizabethtown, KY Two Daughters- Becky Smith Bagby of Columbia, KY and Cindy Murley of Breeding, KY One Brother- Cecil Young of Burkesville, KY 7 Grandchildren- Diane Muncy, April Barkes, Tina Cha Smith, Jay Wilson, Mary Beth Taylor, Hope Brown, and River Murley 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery.  Family requests visitation on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
