Hazel Groce, 86, of Burkesville, KY,(a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor) passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY. Hazel was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on August 7, 1924, to the late Lizzie Anderson Melton, and the late Roy P. Melton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Sanford Groce, 2 Brothers, Irvin Melton; Kenneth Melton; 1 Sister, Lois Melton.

Survivors Include: 2 Daughters, Kathy (David) Branham of Burkesville, KY; Phyllis Hurt of Burkesville, KY; 2 Brothers, Elmer Melton of Pensacolo, FL; Roy (Patsy) Melton of Louisville, KY; 1 Sister, Joyce (Johnny) Randall of Louisville, KY; 5 Grandchildren-Bryan Branham, Cory Branham, Kelly Branham, Kevin Branham, Michelle Hurt 4 Great-Grandchildren- Macy Branham, Makala Branham, Michael Branham, Preston Branham and a host of other relatives and friends survive. Funeral services on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Dr. Mark Shelton officiating. Burial in the Burkesville Cemetery.
