James Russell Shaw age 77 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. Russell was born on December 09, 1936 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Lee Vanis Shaw and Ida Bunch Shaw.  He was an employee of the City of Albany Water Department, and was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Clinton County, KY.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Shaw, and one brother Robert Shaw and his wife Cecil Shaw. Survivors Include: His Wife- Vera Delphine Welch Shaw of Burkesville, KY Two Sons- Timothy Shaw and his wife Betty, and Mike Shaw and his wife Carla all of Albany, KY One Daughter- Schonia Dicken of Albany, KY Two grandchildren he helped raise, Joshua Shaw, and Jonathan Dicken, along with nine other grandchildren, Ricky Ford, Anthony Shaw, Amanda Shaw, Benji Claywell, Patrick Dicken, Dakota Miller, Charles Gordon, Samuel Rains, Jimmy Rains His best friend- David Guffey 10 Great Grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral Service: Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Cave Springs Baptist Church, 53 Cave Springs Rd, Albany, KY with Bro. Ron Jones, and Bro. Jason Brogan officiating. Burial in the Lewis Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. Family request visitation at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home on Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Monday, May 26, 2014 from 6:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 6:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
