James Talbot Smith age 87 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Cumberland Valley Manor.  Talbot was born on October 31, 1925 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Sam Henry and Ora Ann Melton Smith.  He was a former employee of Reynolds Aluminum and Gibson Sawmill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Thelma Booher Smith, one son, Samuel Lynn Smith, and his siblings, Edith Hurt, Brentice Vibbert, and Sam Edard Smith Survivors Include: His Wife- Dorothy Young Smith of Burkesville, KY One Daughter- Carolyn Davis and her husband Daryl of London, KY One Son- Joel Smith and his wife Ann of Glasgow, KY Two Grandchildren- Melanie Walbert, and Samantha Smith and a host of other relatives and friends also survive Funeral Service: Friday, August 23, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N.
