Jewell Bryant, age 85 of  Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Glenview Health & Rehab. Jewell was born on June 20, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY to the late John Paul and Beulah Agnes Murley Thurman.  Jewell was a member of Dutch Creek United Methodist Church and a former employee of the Center on Aging and Sutton Shirt Corporation. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings, Paul Jr. Thurman, Donnie Thurman, Jimmy Dee Thurman, Bobby Sid Thurman, Hazel Day and Barbara Sue Thurman.

Survivors include: Her husband - Austin "Bow" Bryant of Burkesville, KY One daughter - Libby Anderson (Joey) of Burkesville, KY One son - Ricky Bryant (Marla) of Glasgow, KY Six brothers - Ronnie Thurman, Charles Thurman (Hettie) and Wayne Thurman all of Burkesville, KY, Timmy Thurman of Louisville, KY, Starr Thurman and Tommy Thurman (Glenda) all of Glasgow, KY One sister - Gayle Medlin (Richard) of Burkesville, KY Five grandchildren - Anthony Anderson (Lyndsay), Nikki Hawkins (Jon), Terra Vincent (Lonnie), Corey Anderson (Chelsey) and Ethan Bryant (Samantha) Seven great-grandchildren - Mollie Hawkins, Trapper Vincent, Branch Vincent, Karaline Anderson, Quincey Bryant, Conley Anderson and Willow Bryant Sisters-in-law- Marcie Thurman and Tammy Thurman Special Friends- Harold and Janet Phillips, Dana Reece, Betty Anderson and a host of other relatives and friends

Funeral Service: Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Dutch Creek Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
