Jewell E. Spears age 73 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Monday, June 02, 2014 at her home. Jewell was born on June 19, 1940 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Andrew Spears and Roxie Willis Spears.  She was  a former employee of Sulphur Creek Marina, and Hendricks Creek Resort. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Spears, two sisters, Merrel Spears and Vada Thrasher, four brothers, Bill Spears, George Blaine "G.B." Spears, Hoy Spears, and Earl Spears. Survivors Include: Three Sisters- Virginia Spears, Sally Humphrey, and Susie Huff all of Burkesville, KY Five Brothers- Justus Spears of Burkesville, KY, Hall Spears and his wife Mary Ann of Indianapolis, IN, Troy Spears of Indianapolis, IN, Douglas Spears of Albany, KY, and Dennis Spears and his wife Donna of Burkesville, KY and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral Service: Friday, June 06, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Spears Cemetery Family requests visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday, June 05, 2014 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.
