John D. Melton, age 75 of Burkesville, Kentucky (a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor) passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Cumberland County Hospital. He was born on January 15, 1936 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Daniel and Florence Spears Melton. He was a longtime farmhand for many farmers in the area.

Survivors Include several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial in the Dutch Creek Cemetery.
