Lucy Alexander Cary, 57, of LaGrange, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, February 12, 2015 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital. Lucy was born to the late R. Donald and Mary Frances Lawhon Alexander on September 25, 1957. Lucy was a member of the LaGrange Presbyterian Church and a member of the Burkesville Chapter 380, Order of the Eastern Star. She earned her nursing degree from Spalding University in Louisville and worked for the Norton Hospital System for 35 years. She was a caregiver by nature and had a smile and demeanor that endeared her to all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard Cary, Two brothers, Mike (Kathy) Alexander of Gordon, Nebraska, Tim (Beverly) Alexander of Burkesville, Kentucky One sister, Nancy G. Alexander of Marrowbone, Kentucky, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Cremation was her request. There will be a memorial service at Burkesville Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21 for friends and family in the Burkesville area, with burial at a later date in the Cary Cemetery. Friends may call at Burkesville Baptist Church from 9 a.m., Saturday morning, until time for the service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Cary Cemetery Fund.
