M.V. Gibson, age 89 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Christmas morning Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Cumberland Valley Manor after being ill for some time. M.V. was born on October 29, 1936 in Clinton County, KY to the late James Barney Gibson and Pearl Stockton Gibson. He had attended Bakerton Community Church and was well known at Christmas time for helping as Santa Claus for twenty three years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one stepdaughter Veronica Oliver and four brothers David Gibson, Jimmy Gibson, Jacky Gibson, and Donald Gibson.

Survivors Include: His Wife- Mary Gibson of Burkesville, KY One Daughter- Shelia Witherspoon of Albany, KY One Step Son- James Vincent of Georgetown, KY Sister-in-law- Bertha Conner of Burkesville, KY One Grandson- Jonathan Witherspoon of Albany, KY Two Great Granddaughters- Ellie Witherspoon and Kaden Witherspoon and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends

Cremation has been chosen and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the Grider Hill Cemetery in Clinton County, KY
