Mabel Bryson Hayden age 85 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Monday, November 09, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital. Mabel was born in Adair County, KY to the late Oliver Lind Bryson and Mattie Bloyd Bryson. Mabel attended the Morgan School, Marrowbone High School, Lindsey Wilson College, and Western Kentucky University. She attended graduate school at George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, TN.  She was a teacher and school librarian for seven years, and later was director of the Cumberland County Public Library until retirement. She was a member of Amandaville Christian Church but had attended the Burkesville Baptist Church most of her adult life.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William T. Hayden. Survivors Include: One Son- David Hayden and his special friend Barbara Scott of Burkesville, KY One Granddaughter- Donna Sue Hayden Johnson and her husband Brien of Louisville, KY Three Great Grandchildren- Victoria Sue Johnson, Shaun Alexander Johnson, and William Lind Johnson all of Louisville, KY Two Cousins- Billy Bloyd of Columbia, KY and Betty Breener of Lebanon Junction, KY Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery.  Family requests visitation from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
