Malcolm L. Taylor age 78 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the home of his daughter in Barren County, KY.  He was born on December 09, 1936 in the Gaines Hill Community of Cumberland County, KY to the late Wheeler and Verda Capps Taylor.  Malcolm graduated from Reppert School of Auctioneering in 1963.  He provided Real Estate and Auction services to South Central Kentucky for over fifty years.  He was a past president of the Jaycees, past chairman of the Cumberland County Democratic Committee, a master mason of Cumberland Lodge #413 for 49 years, and past president of the Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce.  In January 2010, Malcolm was honored with an induction into the Kentucky Auctioneer Hall of Fame, and received the Half Century Award from the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Short Taylor, three sisters, Ozell Thurman, Inez Eggert, and Virginia Barrow, and one brother, B.F. Taylor.

Survivors Include: One Daughter - Sheila Taylor Davis and her husband Joel of Glasgow, KY Three Brothers - Buford Taylor of Burkesville, KY, and Clifton(and Sandra) Taylor and Carlos(Linda Morris)Taylor all of Bowling Green, KY One Sister - Dorsey "Ina" (and Bob) Petro of Indianapolis, IN Two Granddaughters - Lori(and Travis)Decker of Glasgow, KY, and Brandy(and Andrew)Smith of Edmonton, KY Two Step Grandsons - Trevor Davis and James Davis both of Glasgow, KY Three Great Grandchildren - Avrie, Khloe, and Kaige all of Glasgow, KY, One Step Great Grandchild - Landon Davis and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral Service: Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Gaines Hill Cemetery.  Family requests visitation after 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
