Mike Wiggins, 55, of Lexington, Kentucky died Mon. Sept. 22, 2014 at his residence. Born March 23, 1959 in Ft. Mitchell, KY, he was the son of the late Ernst Theodore and Mary Elizabeth O'Linger Wiggins. Mike was an Eastern Kentucky University graduate and had previously been a chef and owner of Lenore's Restaurant in Burkesville, KY. His favorite professional endeavor was being a paramedic, and was also a volunteer for Hospice of the Bluegrass. He loved spending time at the family cabin at Elk Lake and was most proud of his daughters playing softball and being able to think for themselves. Survivors include his wife, Becky Grider Wiggins of Lexington, KY Two daughters, Sarah E. Wiggins and Katharine L. Wiggins both of Lexington, KY One brother, Charles Wiggins of Dry Ridge, KY One Aunt, Jane (Richard) Heil of Chicago, Illinois Father-in-law: Jessie Grider (Brenda) of Burkesville, KY Brother-in-law: Jessie Grider, Jr.(Candace) of Burkesville, KY Sisters-in-law: Patty Polston of Burkesville, KY, Susan Anderson(Larry) of Spencer, IN and a host of cousins and friends. Visitation will be held 3 until 6 P.M. Central Time  Thursday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. in Lexington, KY. An additional visitation will be held 11 am – 1 pm Central Time Friday at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY 42717 with the funeral service following at 1 pm. Burial will follow in the  Burkesville Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Dr., Chicago, IL 60693.
