Mrs. Nina Skipworth age 92 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on September 22, 1922, the daughter of the late Arnold Orestus(A.O.)Sharp and Lula Bernice Jones Sharp.  She was united in marriage to Ivo Mathais Skipworth in Albany, Kentucky on August 31, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1984.  She was a homemaker, a former employee of Suttons Apparel, and a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ for many years.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Randolph Sharp and Arnold Sharp, five sisters, Gladys Mae Sharp, Alma Short, Sybil Key, Ruth Helen Walker, and Amy Spears, and one granddaughter, Melissa Tweedy. Survivors Include: One Daughter- Judy Tweedy of Bowling Green, KY Five Sons- Ronnie Skipworth(Mary Lou), Dr. Joseph Skipworth(Mary), Jackie Skipworth, and Jerry Skipworth all of Burkesville, KY and Johnie Skipworth(Marsha) of Bowling Green, KY One Sister- Bebe Capps of Burkesville, KY One Brother- Paul Jackson Sharp of Burkesville, KY 11 Grandchildren- Wayne Skipworth(Sheila), Mark Skipworth, Paul David Tweedy(Susan), Ellen Neathery(Robert), Elizabeth Gilbert(Anthony), Minnie Ward(Ron), Jackie Lynn Magnusom, Cristina Robillos(Sammy), Johnie Robin Napier(Tom), Jason Skipworth(Lawanda), Chad Taylor(Becky) 17 Great Grandchildren- Logan, Hannah, Bekha Lane, Grace, Ian, Landon, Emma, Chris, Jerome, Megan, Kevin, Shelby, Joshua, June, Kyrsten, Carson, Cole. and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive. Funeral Service: Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Chapel Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Friday, January 09, 2015 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
