Tammy Smith, age 61 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at St. Thomas Hospital - Midtown in Nashville, TN. Tammy was born on December 10, 1960 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Jerry Staley and Thelma Ruth Coffey Staley.  She was a retired superintendent of the Fulton Independent School District, and had worked in many other school districts in the state. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Langenberg and four brothers, Tommy Staley, Jamie Staley, Frank Staley, and Tony Staley.

Survivors Include: Her Husband- Earl Smith of Burkesville, KY One Son- Craig Smith (Heidi) of Burkesville, KY One Stepson- Patrick Smith of Burkesville, KY One Stepdaughter- Jacque Francis(Greg) of Glasgow, KY One Brother- Jerry Staley(Sandy) of Burkesville, KY Two Sisters- Ann Lloyd(Bill) of Morgantown, KY and Gertie Graves(Murrell) of Campbellsville, KY Three Grandchildren- Jack Smith, Jude Smith, Finn Smith, Milas Smith, Sisters-in-law- Claudette Smith, Terry Staley, and Vickie Staley all of Burkesville, KY and a host of other relatives and friends.

In accordance with Tammy's wishes cremation has been chosen and a family memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
