Vicie Hardin Mers, age 86 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at University of Louisville Hospital. Vicie was born on August 14, 1935 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Menzo Wilson Hardin and Lena Bullock Hardin. She was a member of Branham Grove Baptist Church, a former employee of Bob Evans, and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. W. O. Mers, three brothers Finis Hardin, James Howard Hardin, and Albert Dillard Hardin and one sister Beulah Vincent.

Survivors Include: One Daughter- Sandra Spears and her husband Danny of Eighty-Eight, KY One Son- John Mers and his wife Candy of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida One Sister- Ova Thacker of Burkesville, KY One Grandson- Joshua Ray Spears and his fiance' Katie Knipp Three Special Nieces- Carol Thompson, Clara McFall, and Wanda Moore along with a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Modoc Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Thursday, Oct 21st from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
