William Edsel Carter, age 83 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Cumberland Valley Manor. He was born on November 05, 1931 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Ingram Carter and Mary Biggerstaff Carter.  He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and was retired from the United States Air Force. He enjoyed farming, was a Ham radio operator, and a member of National Society, Sons of the American Revolution. He was married to Berta Auer on February 14, 1955 in Germany.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Clint Carter. Survivors Include: His Wife- Berta Carter of Burkesville, KY Two Daughters- Karen King and her husband Jimmy of Burkesville, KY and Malissa Carter of Bowling Green, KY Two Grandchildren- Kevin King, and Benjamin King and his wife Michelle One Great Grandchild- Lacy King and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral Mass: Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church,  264 Glasgow Road, Burkesville, KY with burial to follow in Burkesville Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
