Barbara (Spears) Melton

Barbara Melton, age 80 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital. Barbara was born on February 16, 1944 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Dewey and Pearl Branham Spears. She was a former apartment manager for B & Z Management in Indianapolis, IN and was also a babysitter. She had attended Gaines Hill Church, Pleasant Hill Church, and Hanover Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ruel Melton, Sr., three brothers, Aldon Spears, J.W. Spears, and Keith Spears and four sisters Betty Spears, Ruth Humphrey, Margoline McMahan, and Jewell Vandagriff.

Survivors Include:
One Son- Ruel Melton, Jr of Shepherdsville, KY
and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends

Funeral Service:
Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY with burial in Gaines Hill Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Friday, October 11th from 4 P.M. till 8 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
