Betty Mansfield Obituary

Elizabeth Mary Zimmerman "Betty Mae Mansfield" was born on December 21, 1928 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. She was born to Harry C. Zimmerman and Rose P. Susbauer.  She was baptized at St. Lawrence Church on January 06, 1929, with Joseph Susbauer and Mrs. Mary Susbauer as sponsors.  On June 27, 1953 she married Dewey Art Mansfield in Portland, Oregon at the Catholic Church. St. Lawrence, James O"Flynn was the pastor who married them in the presence of Harry Zimmerman and Angeleen Dohn as witnesses.

She volunteered for the Red Cross blood drive for 25 years, in addition to donating her time to St. Clare Catholic Church for 60 years and the Multnomah County Senior Center for 15 years. Throughout their marriage, they were together for 53 years, had many self-employed businesses, and had three beautiful children:  Deborah, Delinda, and Michael.  She also had three darling grandchildren, Gavin and Jordan Middleton and Savannah Rose Mansfield, as well as many great-grandchildren.  She was an avid sports fan, enjoying baseball, basketball, boxing, and football, and she had a particular fondness for the Kansas City Chiefs.  She would always say that she loved the coast, as she had gone there as a child with her family, so the love for the coast never died, as those moments live on through pictures.
Betty remained in Portland, Oregon until 2023, when she moved to Burkesville, Kentucky with Michael, who continued to be her caregiver until the moment she passed.

Cremation has been chosen and her ashes will be interred in Riverview Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
