Billy Frank Garner

Billy Frank Garner, age 89 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY.  Billy Frank was born on March 02, 1936 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Willie Floyd Garner and Jewell Booher Garner. He was of Baptist faith and was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church.  He was a hard working man.  He moved to New Castle, Indiana when he was 18 years old and later moved to Muncie, Indiana in the 1960's. He later moved back to Kentucky in 1975.  He was a mechanic and owned and operated many service stations throughout the years. Billy Frank worked at Marsh Supermarkets Warehouse in Yorktown, Indiana and also at several Chevrolet dealerships as a mechanic. After moving back to Burkesville he purchased Town and Country Lanes bowling alley which he ran for many years. He also retired as a school bus driver for the Cumberland County school system and was a member of the Modoc Cemetery Board for many years. He was married to his first wife, Bonnie Sue Jones of New Castle, IN (whom he had three daughters Terrie Lynn, Sherry Ann, and Geneva Sue). He was later married to Carol Ann Garner(whom he had one daughter Sheila) and later married Reba Savage Garner. 

In addition to his parents and wives Carol Ann Garner and Reba Savage Garner, he was also preceded in death by One daughter Terrie Lynn Garner, one granddaughter Kyna Marie Jones, siblings Abbie Garner Capps, Leslie Garner, Noxie Garner Riddle, Odell Garner, Milburn Garner, Roy Garner, Nona Booher Riddle, Madene Garner Ferguson. 

Survivors Include:
Three Daughters- Sherry Ann Garner Franklin of Irvington, KY  Geneva Sue Garner of Louisville, KY and Sheila Garner Murphy(Bruce) of Georgetown, IN
One Step Daughter- Margaret Riddle(Keith) of Burkesville, KY
Four Grandchildren- Daniela Ragan Hicks, Ryan James Murphy(Jana), Dylan Bruce Murphy(Jena), Jonathan Riddle
Seven Great Grandchildren- Miranda Springman(Ryan), Morgan Guston, Megan Jessee, Jackson James Murphy, Julianne Renee Murphy, Dannie Bruce Murphy, Frankie James Murphy
Four Great Great Grandchildren- Olivia, Kolson, and Harrison Springman, River Guston, and another great great grandson due in the spring.

Funeral Service:
Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Modoc Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Tuesday, October 14th from 5 P.M. till 9 P.M. and on Wednesday from 6 A.M. till service time at 11 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
