Edwin G. Kemplen

 Edwin G. Kemplen, 76 of Illinois passed away early Sunday morning, May 3, 2020 at the Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, Illinois

Edwin was born May 15, 1943 in Albany, Kentucky.  He was the son of Ernest C. and Lena Katherine (Purdue) Kemplin.  He married Mable Vincent on July 6, 1964 in Pickett County, Tennessee and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2018. Edwin worked many years as a welder for the casket maker Carlos in Carlos, Indiana.

Edwin is survived by three sons, Melvin (Sandy) Kemplen, Elmer (Betty) Kemplen both of Fairfield, and Joe (Cheryl) Kemplen of Albion; Four brothers, Walter (Lucy) Kemplen, Jimmie Kemplen, and Jesse P. Kemplen all of Lynn, Indiana and Wendel (Kathy) Kemplen of Portland, Indiana; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding Edwin in death were his parents, wife, Mable, one sister and three brothers

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 06, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Vincent Cemetery, Vincent Cemetery Rd. in Cumberland County, KY
