James Cleston Davis Obituary

James Cleston Davis age 82 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Cleston was born on February 09, 1936 in Cumberland County, KY  to the late Edward Leo and James Ruth (Webb) Davis.  He was a retired employee of Arvin North American Automotive with over 40 years of service. Cleston was of the Church of Christ faith, and loved to work in his  garden and repair vehicles after his retirement.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Whitney Whitaker and Kaitlyn Whitaker, and three sisters, Margie Smith, Selma Dodson, and Tammy Hollenbeck.

Survivors Include:
His Wife- Betty Davis of Burkesville, KY
Two Daughters- Deborah Tarry(and Thomas) of Martinsville, IN, and Alisa Whitaker(and Mark Spaulding) of Comfort, TX
One Sister- Barbara Hagan (and John) of Franklin, IN
Five Brothers- Thomas C. Davis(and Edna) of Burkesville, KY, Jerry Davis(and Patty) of Burkesville, KY, Harley Davis(and Gloria) of Greenwood, IN, Clifton Davis(and Edna) of Gosport, IN, and Tony Davis(and Malou) of Greenwood, IN
Eight Grandchildren- Brian Crawford, Nicholas Morelock, Christy Hodgson, Thomas Tarry, Ashley Tarry, Kaleb Whitaker, Cierra Key, and Isabella Whitaker
Fourteen Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.  

A private visitation and funeral service will be held.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family to help offset medical expenses. Those may be left at the funeral home.
