Jarold "Butch" Lorain Comer Jr., age 72 of Mesa, Arizona passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 in Burkesville. Jarold was born on November 11, 1953 in Oakland, California to the late Jarold Lorain "Jerry" Comer, Sr. and Helen Hammer Comer. He was a retired millwright and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He loved fishing, golfing, hunting, and cornhole. One of his great enjoyments was making and crafting jewelry, silverwork, and turquoise. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by one brother Mark Comer and one sister Linda Benskin.
Survivors Include:
One Son- Michael Comer of Anchorage, Alaska
Four Daughters- Tamera Loraine Rasmus of Mesa, Arizona, Teresa Comer of Gilbert, Arizona, Erin Melton and Kelly Richards both of Washington
Two Brothers- Jeff Comer of Mossyrock, Washington and Steven Comer of California
One Sister- Cheryl Waid of Pe Ell, Washington
Five Grandchildren- Rebecca Ridge, Natasha Weiss, Sean Weiss, Olivia Gilbert and Jamieson Godat
Five Great Grandchildren- Dalton Pritchard, Jacob Ward, Lyra Ward, Oliver Bailey, James Hill, Jr.
and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
Cremation has been chosen and there will be no local services.
