John Allen Monroe, Sr.

John Allen Monroe Sr., of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, a retired employee for the old International Harvester Corporation, and a barber.  He was a member of Grace Hope Presbyterian Church

He is survived by his life long companion Garnita L. Alexander
Three Daughters- Victoria Monroe, Debra James, and Martina Surma
Three Sons- Steven Monroe, Jeffery Monroe, and John A. Monroe, Jr.
10 Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends also survive

Funeral Service:
Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 12:00 Noon Eastern Time at W. P. Porter Mortuary, 2611 Virginia Ave., Louisville, KY. Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 30th from 11 A.M. until the service time at 12 Noon at W. P. Porter Mortuary. Burial will follow the service in the Grundy Chapel Cemetery in Burkesville, KY
