Kay Carolyn (Alexander) Higgins

Kay Carolyn Alexander Higgins age 75 of Clarksville, Tennessee transitioned from this life of glory on 1 July 2021 with family members by her side. Kay was born on 26 November, 1945 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Ralph Alexander and Arvana Owsley Alexander. Kay grew up in Burkesville where she attended and graduated Lincoln Institute Lincoln Ridge Kentucky May 1964. Kay was united in marriage to Willie F. Higgins on March 3, 1978. Kay was Burkesville devoted, loving, supporting spouse to Willie's 20year military career span. While doing so Kay nurtured two children,  Willie Jr & Jennifer.
Kay worked in various areas of hospitality & retail throughout her career. Kay had a love for the outdoors, gardening, & family. She was always soft spoken, kind & encouraging to all who came in contact. Kay was preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy Alexander and Carlos Alexander. 

Precious memories of her life will be cherished by her surviving children, Jennifer Dice of Killeen TX, Willie Jr (and Lupita) of Clarksville TN, spouse Willie Higgins of Clarksville TN, Her Siblings, Evelyn (and Arthur) Fields of Pricedale PA, Wanda (and Nathan) Pollard of Harrisburg PA, Marilyn Ladd of Louisville KY, Deborah Duvall, Fran Alexander, Ralph L. Alexander, and Kenneth Alexander all of Burkesville KY. Four grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Jeanette and Elizabeth Alexander and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Oddfellows Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 12 Noon until the service time at 1 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
