Larry Joe Anderson, age 74 of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home. Larry Joe was born on February 22, 1949 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Allen Kyle Anderson and Elizabeth "Bunk" Spear Young. Larry was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War as a gunner with Company C., 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Division. He received the Army Commendation Medal and Bronze Star Medal for heroism in action against enemy forces in Vietnam on August 08, 1969 and December 27, 1969.He was an employee of Hood Container in Owensboro. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Peggy Young and Sue Ballard and three brothers Donnie Young, David Young, and Jerry Milam

Sunday, January 07, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery with military honors. Family requests visitation on Saturday, January 6th from 4 P.M. till 8 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
