Rene Callis

Rene Callis, age 57 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at University of Louisville Hospital. Rene was born on October 09, 1967 in Illinois to the late Edward Elmer Hines and Brenda Lloyd Baltazar. She was a longtime customer service representative in the transportation industry. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a very special friend who was like a father to her, Wesley Doug Scott.

Survivors Include:
Her Husband- Jerry Callis of Burkesville, KY
Her Mother- Brenda Baltazar of Illinois 
Two Sons- Corey David Callis and Kyle Anthony Callis both of Burkesville, KY
One Brother- Mark Powell of Berea, KY
One Sister- Courtney Baltazar of Illinois 
and a host of other relatives and friends

Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held later.
