Rondal Howard Riddle, 83, of New Haven, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by family.
Rondal was born January 12, 1943, in Burkesville, KY, to the late Ilus Graham and Noxie Garner Riddle. He was proud to have served in the United States Army and retired from General Electric after more than 30 years.
He married Barbara Helen Suratt on June 30, 1966, and was looking forward to celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary later this year.
Rondal was a quiet man but loved to tease and joke with the people he liked. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix and/or build just about anything he set his mind to.
Rondal was a member of Faith Apostolic Church in Elizabethtown, KY, where his presence and service will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Rondal was preceded in death by a brother, Shelby Riddle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, his daughter, Ronda (Tommy) Clutts and three granddaughters, Brelayne, Bryleigh and Bryndall Clutts. He is also survived by a brother, Donnie (Pat) Riddle, a sister, Lydia Baise, a brother-in-law, Chalmon Surratt, two sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Anderson and Drucilla (Edward) Anderson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen, and there will be no visitation or service. Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home was entrusted with fulfilling his wishes.
The family wishes to thank Rev. Duray and Linda Aldridge, the members of Faith Apostolic Church and Kim Suratt for their prayers and presence during the last seven weeks.
