Ryan Jay McIntire

Ryan Jay McIntire, 49, beloved son of Vicki Seat & JR McIntire, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at his home in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Ryan Jay came into this world on May 31, 1974 and was very proud of the fact that he was born in Okinawa, Japan. He was loyal and protective; loved his friends and family, putting them first. Compassionate, giving and caring, he was always willing to help those in need. Ryan had a very unique sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. Ryan looked for the best in any given situation. He was an entrepreneur, exploring many opportunities in life. He was an accomplished musician and played both the piano and guitar. He enjoyed the written word, and wrote a variety of musical compositions, poetry and various short stories. Ryan adored food. He was a great cook and won many awards for his world famous “McIntire Chili”. He dearly loved his little dog “Lacy.” He was positive every single day, despite any obstacle, and always found the good in life.

Ryan will be missed by his Mother Vicki Seat (Nick), Burkesville, KY, his Father JR McIntire (Lois Lanelle), Kokomo, IN, his Sister Scarlett McIntire (Bill), Gulf Shores, AL, his Daughter Chloe McIntire, Hutto, TX, his Uncles - Phil McIntire, LaFontaine, IN, Dave McIntire (Jo Ellen), Decatur, IN, Dan Baughey, Hartford City, IN, Mark Baughey, Hartford City, IN, Mike Baughey, Hartford City, IN., Nieces - Brittany Boothe, Gulf Shores, AL, Chelsea Boothe, Gulf Shores, AL and numerous cousins.

In remembrance of Ryan a graveside service will be at 1 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford City for family and friends.
