Shirley Claywell

Shirley Claywell, age 74 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Cumberland County Hospital. Shirley was born on July 26, 1947 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Charlie Elbert Melton and Betty Anderson Melton. She was a CNA for Cumberland County Hospital for twenty years and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville Melton and Robert Melton.

Survivors Include:
Her Husband- Douglas Claywell of Burkesville, KY
One Son- Jeffery Wayne Claywell of Tompkinsville, KY
One Daughter- Joyce Rowe and husband John Martin of Burkesville, KY
Four Grandchildren- Valerie Lone, Candi Norris, Dylan Cape (Janelle), Curtis Trent
Five Great Grandchildren- Brooklyn Lone, Presley Norris, Tyleigh Norris, Coy Norris, Connor Cape
and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends

Funeral Service:
Friday, December 31, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery.  Family requests visitation on Thursday, December 30th from 3 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
