Sue (Myers) Baker

Sue Baker, age 87 of  Burkesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Cumberland County Hospital. Sue was born on May 16, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY to the late John Thomas Myers and May Easter Myers.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin "Alec" Baker,  one son, Thomas Baker and siblings, John Thomas Myers, Jr., Bennie Hall Myers, Walter Harrison "Cranzy" Myers, Mabel Gibson, Flora Smith, Mildred Scott, Marjorie "Roonie" Sparks and Ruth Pierce. Sue was a member of Jones Chapel Methodist Church and a retired nurse having worked at Cumberland County Hospital for 49 years. She was a former board member of Cumberland Valley Manor and Burkesville Cemetery.

Survivors include:

Son - Todd Baker (Robin) of Summer Shade, KY
Daughters - Tylia Stodghill (Jim) of Burkesville, KY and Tammy Love of Glasgow, KY
Daughter-in-Law - Deborah Baker of Burkesville, KY
Grandchildren - Lindsey Morgan (John), Kristen Anderson, Tyler Walbert (Hannah), Colton Baker, Brittany Walbert, Alexandria Baker and Aelec Baker 
Great grandchildren - Laken, Breckin, Olivia, Catherine, Baker
and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends also survive

Funeral service:
Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial in Baker Family Cemetery in Burkesville. Family requests visitation on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Sunday until time for the service.
