Wesley Douglas Scott, age 79 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. Wesley was born on July 17, 1942 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Johnny F. Scott and Pearl Spears Scott. He was a former millwright for General Motors Locomotive Division in Countryside, IL retiring after 26 years of service. He was a veteran on the U.S. Army, a member of VFW Post 5419, Cumberland Masonic Lodge #413, Kosair Shrine Temple, Dale Hollow Shrine Club, Valley of Louisville Scottish Rite, and a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Scott and one sister, Lula Bell Thurman.

along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Davis Cemetery with military honors. Family requests visitation on Tuesday, Oct 19th from 5 P.M. till 9 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.
A masonic service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 P.M. at the funeral home with the lodge opening at 6 P.M. for members.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to VFW Post 5419 or Cumberland Masonic Lodge #413 and may be left at the funeral home.
