Janet, I'm sorry to read about the death of your mother. I knew you and she as a child. your father James is my first cousin. your grandmother was my dad's sister. My dad was Thurston Pelston.I have a picture of you and me when we were little kids. My family would go down to Lawson Bottoms to see you and our Dads would fish the river. Both my parents are gone. they went in thier 60's.I ride to Lawson Bottoms sometime in the summer, its so pretty in Cumberland Co.I was raised in Columbia, and my brother is still there.I've been in Louisville, 50 yrs. I only wish I had known Dads family better.God you and your sister. and may he comfort your heart.

So sorry to hear about your Mother passing.
She and James are some of my first memories when they lived next to us in Lawson Bottom.
My prayers are with you during the time of grief.

I was so sorry to hear of your mothers death. I lost both my parents in 2010 and it has been very hard to accept this loss. Our family was very pleased with the help and kindess of Josh Stotts and his wife during our times of grief, as I am sure you and your sister have experienced. Janet, I would love to have seen you while you were in Kentucky but I didn't know about this until I received my C-land News this week. I try to keep up with you through Donna Curtis. I just wanted you to know that you and your family are in our thoughts. Even though it has been many years since we have seen each other, I still remember you and what a beautiful lady you were. Hope you had a safe trip back home. Please know we are thinking of you.
