William Fred Neeley, age 89 of Louisville, Kentucky formerly of Cumberland Co., Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at his home. He was born on December 07, 1921 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late John Walter and Francis Bow Neeley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hall Neeley, J.C. Neeley, and Bernal Neeley.

Originally from Burkesville, Kentucky, Fred went to the University of Louisville where he graduated with a degree in business. While there he met the love of his life Lillian Frances. Together they moved from Louisville to St. Louis, MO from there to Dallas, TX, and from Texas to Chicago, IL. In 1972 they returned to the Louisville area to make a permanent home. Fred was retired from Atlantic Richfield, now British Petroleum where he worked as general sales manager for more than 40 years. He proudly served his country as a radar repairman in the U.S. Army during World War II. During the war he spent a significant amount of time in Pacific, where he served as sargeant in Company B 597th Signal Air Warning Battalion.

Survivors Include:
His Wife- Lillian Neeley of Louisville, KY
Sisters- Ruby Nell Sewell of Albany, KY, Golda Key, Norma Riddle and her husband Preston, Mary Ann Spears and her husband Hall, and Gerri Jo Lucas all of Indianapolis, IN
One Aunt- Janet Eileen Stone
and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, Kentucky with burial in the Hardy Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until the time for services at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
