Hazel Janie Hewitt, age 81 of Marrowbone, Kentucky passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Cumberland County Hospital. Janie was born on November 01, 1939 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Ed Scott and Gertie Fields Scott. She was a union checker for Safeway in San Diego, CA for several years and later along with her husband ran Hewitts Grocery in the Grider Community of Cumberland County. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Hewitt, four brothers, Jackie Paine Scott, William John Scott, Rondal Wayne Scott, Ricky Neal Scott and two sisters, Nettie Mae Bradshaw and Mildred Frances Gearlds.

Survivors Include:
Five Daughters- Gwen Fields and her husband Donnie of Marrowbone, KY, Vickie Adams and her husband Jeff of Willow Shade, KY, Donna Tatusch and her husband Ron of Boca Raton, FL, and Debra Hewitt and Cheryl Hewitt both of Lawrence, KS
Two Sons- Steve Manthei and his wife Dawn of Marrowbone, KY and Russell Hewitt of San Diego, CA
Two Sisters- Pansy Firkins of Chicago, IL and Wanda Vibbert of Marrowbone, KY
15 Grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service:
Thursday, November 05, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Dutch Creek Cemetery.  Family requests visitation on Wednesday, Nov. 04,  from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
